Denver closes shelter for migrants

The City of Denver closed their last shelter that was specifically for migrants this week. This closure also comes at a time when several families across Denver are struggling to make ends meet and find housing.

For those of you who are not aware... there are hundreds of people sleeping outside in tents here in Asheville and surrounding areas where temperatures are reaching 15 degrees at night. Nearly 3 months after Helene this is the situation here. I wish my neighbors could get even a fraction of what the migrants have gotten from our horrible government.

Can you imagine leaving your country with 4 kids and no money? They show up here and announce "We're here now take care of us and we don't like the food so give us money " Sanctuary states are millions and millions of dollars in debt for the taxpayers to pay

All my family has just left Denver because its become such a craphole over the last 3 years. Then of course you have the CBS talking heads trying to give pity on illegals, "families struggling" . What about Americans struggling. or is that not on the teleprompter.

They have destroyed Denver. I have been homeless in Denver a few times and never received help from anyone. I have seen several of them with multiple shopping carts completely full paying with EBT cards. I sometimes don't see another non Latino for days at a time in Denver. I have watched a beautiful city with nice people morph into a dystopian slum. It looks like Skid Row in Los Angeles or a bad part of Tijuana now. Fast food trash everywhere. No one can afford the rent that has skyrocketed because of the huge invasion. The short sighted greed and plan to weaken the earning potential of US citizens by having 20, 000, 000 illegal immigrants flood America has destroyed the once beautiful country. Thanks Jerome Powel. Thanks to the greedy robber barrons. You have destroyed America.

I got my social security statement Friday and I will be getting 42 dollars more a month next year. Why doesn't the government help us seniors like they help ILLEGALS???

Well, actual citizens are struggling to make ends meet on top of having to pay for the ILLEGALS. Not migrants. How about get it right. How about house and care for all the homeless veterans. I'm shedding no tears.
