DPS3005 - Digital Power Supply from Banggood

DPS5003 and DPS3005 are (adjustable) Digital Power Supply available on Banggood. First one can work up to 50V/5 A, and second one 32V/5 A. Another version, not mentioned (author not aware of that) is DPS 3003, with available current up to only 3 A. Also other versions for higher current, or with lower voltage/current accuracy are not mentioned because it is out of scope of this video. At the time I am buying this supply, 50V one is sold out, so I bought 32 V version. Input voltage can go up to 40 volts, but output voltage is always at least 1.1 V less than input, or 32 V maximum for DPS3005 or 50V for DPS5005. Note that this device is just controller unit - no transformer, no rectifier and/or capacitors. Use your own transformer with rectifier, or another unregulated PSU as input PSU. Minimum input voltage is 6V, below which it refuse to output any voltage. At say 5 V input, it can just show display, but can't output proper result - and it refuses to output anything. Reason is that control device inside require stable voltage of 5 V, and in order to get it - input voltage should be at least 1.1 V above that value. On this video, I am using old computer PSU, which gives me 11.5 V (this is old and probably broken unit). Forgot to mention bottom row on the display - showing input voltage, but I bet you are already figured it out.

I made mistake saying that at setting LED at zero "should be completely dark" - that is not correct! If dark, then nobody can see what is on the display. Sorry for that. And I do not prefer to mess with this M0 through M9 memory settings - unless you know how to do it. I just didn't find any logic on how to set this memories on preset. If anyone get idea how to manage those presets, let me know. Thank you in advantage.

CV is "Constant Voltage" - CC would be "Constant Current."
There is also a DPH3205 model wich is buck and boost converter.

These are some nice looking control boards, great for controlling DIY power supplies.

I've seen a lot of people 3D printing cases for these, are you planning on doing anything similar?
