This groove is interesting because Asford & Simpson wrote it. I believe it was Chaka’s first time recording in NYC. Immediately became a club groove. Along with “I Know You I Live You” became DJ must play at clubs like Zanzibar. Definitely put Chaka on another level…

Got introduced to this song on Chaka’s (it’s pronounced “Shocka”) 1989 “Life Is A Dance: The Remix Project” album. It slayed even back then. House Heads, this album is 🔥.
