Emerald synopsis:
Blue - Great for bosses
Red - Breaks the game in half
Purple - Hilariously situational
Cyan - Useful once. Also saves you from being crushed… but not spikes for some reason.
Green - Also situational. Slows game to a crawl.
Yellow - Cool idea, but for some reason doesn’t slow down all environmental hazards or auto scrolling level speeds.
White - Should’ve probably been included with characters default moves.

It might’ve also been very helpful if you could assign emeralds to controller bumpers.

So yeah, they’re pretty neat. Would love to see this gimmick come back in future games.

The water power also allows you to survive getting crushed by non-spiked objects. I don’t know why they didn’t mention that. It’s the only thing that gives it a reason to be used outside of two levels.

Fun fact: Water makes you immune to crushing hazards. Try it if you don’t think you can make it safely!

I'm curious to see if Emerald Powers like in this game will be in modern games. This will change things a lot. Can Shadow harness these powers? Shadow can use Chaos Control unlike any other character. But this might change things.
Either way, these Emerald Powers look cool.

Also Sonic Team: "Of course the new character can go Super. Otherwise, it feels kinda like a weak reward, doesn't it? In fact, let's make her transformation unique. She'll turn into a dragon."

My Goodness, these speed strats are entertaining! And the Emerald powers abilities are gonna be pretty helpful throughout the game. Can't wait for the next episode! 😊
