I don't know how many people have catched what was being said in Russian, with English subtitles. The goal of the Russian dictatorship and the Stalin dictatorship, they found out the best way they can stay in power is to make people afraid, so they 'think before they speak'. This is why there is widespread torture in Syria. It wasn't the Assad regime, although they were complacent. It was the Russians torturing the Syrians in the prisons. This is why when Russia first invaded Ukraine, it was torture that they brought with them. This needs to be widespread knowledge if it isn't already: Russian dictatorship method to keep power: *Torture to make people afraid to say what they want to say*

This is what normal Russian citizens are fighting against. This is the SAME as what they were fighting against with the Stalin dictatorship

Germany’s government shutdown its Nuclear Power program in 2023. However the French company Framatome has a plant in Lower Saxony that has imported Russian Uranium from Rosatom (at their customer’s request) to fabricate fuel rods for Russian designed VVER reactors still in use in the EU [Spiegel].
These type of (safer) Soviet plants are still operational in Finland & Czechia, while Hungary & Slovakia have commissioned new Russian designed reactors, which is why the sudden jump in these imports. Sadly Rosatom is not sanctioned, despite cooperating with Russia’s misbahavior at the occupied Zaporizhzhia NPP, nor is the trade in Russian Uranium, so there’s not much the German government can do about this. Its Hungary & Slovakia’s intransigence on using cheap (subsidised?) Russian Uranium for their projects is why these imports are happening and aren’t appreciated within the EU.
By comparison all of Ukraine’s remaining nuclear reactors also operate this Soviet VVER type, but they have transitioned to using Swedish built fuel rods, Czech firm Škoda JS (previously Russian owned now Czech again) for maintenance work and their next new reactor will be a PWR type made by Canadian owned, US firm Westinghouse.
