He burned the Imperial Fists so well that the Salamanders would be impressed

“And who’s your god??” *preparing his last stand*
“He who sits upon the golden throne.”
“…. WAT.”

When traitor Word Bearers showed up to reclaim this boi, you know what he did?

He manifested LIVING SAINT POWERS and proceeded to deliver a faith-infused fisting to every word bearer he could find.

He got about as close to legitimately pissed off as a dreadnought can be without going Khornate.

Now remember that Dreadnoughts are armored boxes with legs and lots of guns.

Also remember this Dreadnought has such faith he does things Living Saints do.

Every round of ammo he has is probably empowered/holy.

It’s… honestly disturbing that in this grimdark univers, there is one character that understand that vengeance is a cycle of destruction

For the record the fact that this dude even could turn loyalist again is extraordinary and a testament to his faith because not only did Lorgar have psychic abilities to nudge people into following him but the geneseed of Lorgar’s legion was specifically noted to make his sons insanely loyal to him personally. So the fact he could later turn around and say “screw you dad I’m going back to the Imperium” is nothing short of miraculous.

Calder's little "WHAT?!" was honestly hilarious and adornable.

Watched a video about this guy awhile ago, apparently he's practically responsible for how the imperial cult is. Sure, Logar wrote their "Bible", but this guy formed the religion. Warhammer terms always get away from me but this word bearer was hidden by some higher up religious people. He wasn't originally a dreadnought, I mean, of course not, but apparently he tried to off himself and when they found him they quickly tossed him in the dreadnought to save him. Pretty interesting story. He also kicks the asses of the word bearers that try reclaiming him.

Can we all agree that this Dreadnought was probably a thousand plus years old before the heresy started? He sequestered himself to enhance his resilience in faith, thus proving that isolation is better than damnation

The Anchorite: How dare he deny us! His truest sons!

The Custodes elsewhere: Well this is awkward.

There's a secret piece of lore regarding the Anchorite's entombment in the dreanought shell.

Apparently, Erebrus had him sealed in the shell to avoid him preventing the Legion from falling to Chaos because he was too based.

I absolutely love it when Dreadnoughts call other Astartes 'boy'.

Personal favorite is when the Night Lords dreadnought Malcharion stomps out a dying Eldar before looking Talos' body and saying 'I have to do everything for that boy'

I feel like a dreadnought are the only kind of space marines that could get away with calling another one "boy"
