does this require 3g connection just to use the compass? not google map...just the compass. is the compass an internal mechanism or reliant on GPS ?

@HOWJORD it was sold out in my local Vodafone shop but they did have a dummy unit. i really found it to big. I think the HD is my maximum size

@barbieR89 are you sure it is no the normal standby? If so it would turn instantly on when pressing the power button. Otherwise try to reset it eider by the button on the back or by the software reset function.

Awsome, this ting is realy helpfole if you'r lost somewere, like i do sometimes in new places !
xD i know tgats funy but realy only whay how cen i get bac is uzing nokia n95 8gb GPS app and city map !

i hope i whill buy this AWSOME Gadget :)

if your upgrading to this, then your actually downgrading, you can get this stuff for the TP2.

@almadlamy hardware dependent other than motion sensor and GPS? :( This makes me want to switch the HD1 with HD2 :( They do this on purpuse I think.

Yup I bought it but sometimes the mobile turnes off by itself ! :(

guys/ girls shall i get the HTC HD2 or the milestone (droid) when it hits the uk?? i use my phone mostly for txting, calling (obviously lol) internet, simple games and music and internet. i know both phones in terms of hardware will do but what about the OS???

Ive got to disagree. I have the Touch HD and I tried out the HD2 today and man its so wide. It is just to damn big to hold comfortably in my hands. Maybe someone with large hands would find it okay but after trying it theres no way im buying one
