A human being has a peak running speed of fifteen to twenty miles an hour which cannot be maintained indefinitely. Some breeds of canines have a peak speed of twenty five to up to forty. Even for a slow dog, Cornwall is clearly outmatched and outgunned by the dog's extra pair of paws.
