The BYD Xia is a plug-in hybrid minivan developed by BYD Auto and is part of their Dynasty Series, named after the Xia dynasty, the first dynasty in Chinese history. This series is exclusively marketed through BYD's Dynasty Network dealerships, emphasizing the brand's heritage-inspired lineup. The BYD Xia stands out as a family-oriented minivan that combines practicality with eco-friendly hybrid technology. Its design and features cater to modern drivers looking for spacious, efficient, and technologically advanced vehicles.

Equipped with a 36.628 kWh LFP battery weighing 331 kg, the BYD Xia achieves an electric range of 145 km (CLTC), making it a capable option for short commutes or urban driving. This battery accounts for 12.5% of the minivan's 2,650 kg curb weight. For comparison, the Denza D9 DM-i MPV from BYD offers two battery options, a 20 kWh pack with a 103 km range and a 40 kWh pack with a range of 190–200 km. The BYD Xia also features a hybrid drivetrain, powered by a 1.5-liter internal combustion engine (likely the turbocharged BYD472ZQB engine) paired with a 200 kW electric motor. This combination delivers an efficient fuel consumption of 6.5 L/100 km when the battery is depleted.

In terms of dimensions, the BYD Xia is designed with a focus on interior space and comfort, boasting a wheelbase of 3,045 mm (119.9 in) and an overall length of 5,145 mm (202.6 in). Its width measures 1,970 mm (77.6 in), and its height is 1,805 mm (71.1 in), ensuring a roomy cabin for passengers and cargo. With its advanced hybrid technology, spacious design, and connection to BYD's Dynasty Series legacy, the BYD Xia is positioned as a versatile and eco-conscious option in the growing hybrid minivan market.
