My "On the Kitchen Table" videos are mainly aimed at newcomers to multirotors, quadcopters, drones and UAVs, particularly to the DJI product range, and the Phantom line in particular. I have how to's, product reviews, tips, tricks, hints and information for beginners and those in the early stages of the hobby. I film "on the kitchen table" to show people that, like me, you don't need a workshop and an array of specialist equipment and years of experience to get started and progress with flying these amazing aircraft and enjoying making great aerial videos and stills. Good job! You can also drop pins to add them or search via the search box to add new locations. Now all we need to do is populate the app so everyone can use it!

The app you have created is a fantastic idea.

I haven't come across something with so much potential for this hobby as your APP.
I do think with a few improvements this could become a great help to this hobby.

1 secure messaging between registered users to arrange group flights etc.

2 The option to send out an alert to all local users or to tell all in the local area a race is taking place.

I'm sure there are lots of ideas for improvement out there.

Downloaded to my tablet. I must be among the first. I've added a place on Marsden Moor but as of writing this there are only a small number of other places added mainly in Lancashire and the Mid Pennines

Just added a couple of my more recent locations for safe flying. Come on folks - this app is just like any other user based system, I.e. the more you put in the more you (we) all get out. If you don't contribute it will die!

Nice app, and I really like the fact that I can find places to fly that are fairly local.
Its a little clunky at the moment but its free and worth the share and adding my info, my concerns though are that some of these places may not be deemed appropriate and who will authenticate or remove, my other concern is if a number of people turn up in the same area and there is overcrowding.

I think with a little tweaking and some guidance this can be great.

Great idea I will add a few up my way over the next few days. One thing it really need is hybrid view on the map as its really hard to work out where a area is just from standard map view. When did you get your p3? No seen you do a video on it yet.

Simon, I thought I heard you mention safety and legality in your intro, but I don't see how these factors are incorporated from just a personal judgement of a nice place to fly.  Will there be some integration of FAA, UK, EU, et al flight limits to test the legality of flying in a certain location, and will there be any sort of government restrictions/limitations included (like the US National Park Service restrictions)?
