Philly girl here. And we are picky and critical as F when it comes to cheesesteaks. I’ve definitely seen worse attempts outside of Philly. They are correct to not have peppers or mushrooms in it. I’d taste that.

I always wanted to try this sandwich but there are no restaurants in my area that make them.

As soon as I saw citywide on the menu for drinks I knew this cheesesteak was going to be legit. YUP! That mfr is SERIOUS! Love to see it. I grew up right over the bridge in Jersey going to Philly in middle school and HS, then went to college in Philly and worked in Philly for almost a whole decade. It's very clear just by the video to me that these guys definitely took proper notes on the cheesesteak when they fell in love with it. I would absolutely travel to Seoul specifically to try this cheesesteak. Also on a side note, chicken cheesesteaks rock! They're definitely better with American cheese rather than any other and even better if you make it a buffalo chicken cheesesteak which typically is American cheese and chicken doused in buffalo sauce. Some places add bleu cheese or substitute American for bleu cheese, which I think both are just fine. It adds a bit of character to your everyday experience with going to different places rather than making a routine out of one single thing spread across multiple places. Thanks for the inspiration to now look into flights and start planning a trip haha

Chicken cheese steaks are my all time favorite. Onions. Green and red peppers. White American cheese, the greasiness from the cheese soaked in the bread. Just amazing

Damn I'm jealous! I've been in Japan for the past 25 years and only went back to Philly (my hometown) twice. They got a good place Nihonbashi-Philly in Tokyo, but that is NO where near me. Man that looks good though. That cut is authentic though.
