For our first time hosting a special guest in the video studio, local keys maestro @MikePensini dropped in to showcase the latest big and bold analogue synth from Sequential; the Trigon-6. A long-time Sequential enthusiast and career player, Mike totally blew us away, cruising through a variety of genres and styles, really pushing the Trigon to be all it can be.

The Trigon 6 is a 61-key, 3 oscillator, 6-voice polyphonic analog synth with a broad sonic palette, from the famed classic timbres of 70s and 80s through to modern cinematic bliss. A professional instrument in every sense, and a fitting testament to the late Dave Smith.

I’ve had a P6 for nine years. It generally leans toward a more contemporary analog sound, though the addition of vintage mode a few years ago helped loosen it up significantly. That said, it sounds like the T6 really comfortably lives in that vintage space which I find super appealing. Might have to look at getting this to complement my P6

This is the best demo of the Trigon 6 I have found, thank you for making it! Thanks for showcasing the diversity of sounds this unit is capable of.

Mike's playing is 🔥 as always, but I also think he did a fantastic job as a presenter. Terrific demo!

Sounds fantastic. But at this price point I definitely expect a patch name display and probably a 5 octave keyboard. Oh and did I mention a librarian app and DAW integration?

Nice demo, thanks for sharing.
I'm sorry but it's missing 2 voices. It should have been a Trigon-8. It's painfully obvious on pads with long envelope times, with abrupt voice stealing. Oh, and it's also missing one more octave on the key bed. Dave (RIP) missed the opportunity to better the Memorymoog (which was clearly the inspiration behind this project).

Great workflow/layout on all 3 of this "series" from Sequential. No doubt for some it will be a great sounding addition to their setup. My personal priorities for a synth if spending that much simply do not match well with any of them. I want 5 octaves OR a desktop model option for less, bi-timbral (preferably with dedicated out/part), onboard effects have zero value to me, stereo spread has low to no value to me, and even patch memory is NOT a must have. As such (given I do not need another keybed) a P10 module would fit me better, but that takes nothing away from this great demo of a great sounding synth.

No puedo superar el sabor de este estado de ánimo. El Profeta 6 o el Profeta Oberheim suenan brillantes comparados con Trigon, es mi opinión subjetiva.

It is good to remember that these guys get paid for their marketing efforts.

Pretty decent. Kind of reminds me of the Volca keys a bit.

Ewww, those minor chords and funk chops just don’t show this thing off well at all, sounds cheap and cheesy. Please don’t do that to Dave Smiths memory again
