Diminished makes me think of Barry Harris.... A whole step down from a diminished chord you can play either major or minor sixth or a dominant or dominant flat 5 and have a scale out of it. Been relating it to major scale and I got adding flat 5 for major, dropping five and using only sharp and flat 5 for minor, for dominant flat the third and add flat five and for dominant flat five its the same as dominant except you flat the two.... this helps me so I dont feel its so foreign and my fingering
