Allison is so much more at ease on camera than she used to be :) And her garden is a joy every year. She didn't seem to mix and match flowers with vegetables all that much this time, when I seem to remember she liked to make vegetable beds look pretty previous years. Now there's a dedicated flower bed. I wonder why that is ?

FYI for Allison, the Walla Walla onions will store, but you have to pick them at the right time and then lay them out to dry back, before storing them. Plus you need to store them at the right temperature. I have never done this but I watch GardenAnswer on YouTube. Laura does this every year around this time, but she also lives in the part of the Country that grows amazing onions.

Ms Allison: Read up on "pruning basil". Much the same happens with many of the annual flowers. The more you clip, the bushier they become and also the more seeds they try to produce. In the case of flowers, the flowers beget the seeds so you will get more flowers. Experiment in your existing bed for 10-15 minutes by pruning, or taking flowers from just some of the flowers to see what they do.
