Here's a crazy idea I'll never try, The achievement sapper has a monkey knowledge point as a reward. Using freeplay on easy mode you can severely reduce your xp gain. Combining these ideas can you get sapper while still needing a monkey knowledge point. I know in normal play you will have them all before you get it. Maybe with some crazy speed mods or something.

Snipers only can beat every boss on normal mode (except dreadbloon) and although the kill is slower, unlocking only snipers probably saves you a ton of time.

You could also exit home when unlocking monkey xp at the tutorial

How did you unlock maps? If I remember correctly, you need to win on 20 maps just to unlock the expert maps.

I thought you meeded 3m pops to unlock dartling gunner, and needed to complete 8 maps on beginner to unlock all the intermediate maps. Did that change?
