For everyone going on about Alice; you can tell she's watching television and honestly she is idolizing someone she thinks is healthy. She's being used. It's like you don't understand the point of this. Joker was never loving to her; he used her and abused her.
This mep is showing how idolizing someone is unhealthy. Because sooner or later it'll turn you into something or someone your not as sad as it is. It's true.
Edit: Yes it's messed up but that's the point.
