The Cliffhouse Cabin - Clearing Folkschool

A brief glimpse into my stay at the legendary "Cliffhouse" cabin at the Clearing Folkschool in Door County Wisconsin.
This was world-renown landscape architect Jens Jensen’s private hideaway for contemplation, rest, and writing. Built in 1935 by Albe Munson, Jensen’s foreman at the Edsel Ford estate near Detroit.
For the past few summers I have taught annual knife-making classes at the Clearing's new Forge building, and it has been an incredible honor and joy to teach and learn amongst amazing students in such a beautiful and history-rich setting.
