The reason this doesn’t work is the same reason why the symbiote has always preferred spider-man over anyone else and it’s the bond. When peter bonded with the symbiote it was near perfect if not perfect. Everything Eddie gets with the symbiote Spider-Man also gets with his spider-powers as a bonus. He’s definitely physically stronger and with spider-sense on top of that, Eddie can’t touch him.

Edit: thanks for so many likes. If someone who doesn't get my joke, I wrote it because the symbiot (venom) changed Tobey completely. It made him more angrier, aggressive and badass. Without venom Tobey is our friendly neighborhood Spiderman :)

Fun fact: Venom is inmune to spider sense of Spider-Man, because the symbiote lived with Spider-Man one time to the point of mixed with his DNA already bitten by the rad spider, so spidersense doesn't recognize him as a threat but as a little part of Itself.
