Lake Ohrid in North Macedonia - The Balkan's Hidden Gem

This is Lake Ohrid in Macedonia, one of the most beautiful spots in the Balkans. I was blown away by Ohrid and would definitely go back. It's somewhere I'd never heard of before visiting Macedonia in 2018, but now I would definitely recommend!

This is the second episode from a trip I did with my Mum through Eastern Europe in the summer of 2018. I didn't publish them at the time because I wanted to catch up on my posting schedule and so I ended up skipping a whole bunch of videos. Now I have the chance to catch up and share them with you!

Ohrid is like paradise on Earth. I haven't seen a place as beautiful as that. I took a ton of pictures when I was there. Too bad you didn't show Holy Mary Peribleptos' and St. Sophia's churches, they're amazing to see, especially the first one, but they don't let you film or take photos inside it. I managed to take one after asking the guard, and he gave a good thought before letting me, maybe he was merciful because I was a tourist. In St. Sophia, on the other hand, they let you film and take all the pictures you want.

Fun Fact Lake Ohrid is OLDEST lake in EUROPE.
