The bosses only expand production when they see profits ahead. While when the the workers gain hire wages the spend that extra money on things workers need increasing production and the need to hire more workers. The best the workers can hope for is for the bosses to invest their profits in expanding production. When they invest it first into replacing skilled labor with unskilled labor and machines to drive profits their way. The bosses can't help but have the tendency to overproduce for markets that can't absorb the overproduction at a profit so they inevitable begin in using profits to drive up fictitious capital value they do this until it way exceeds the exchange value and then it collapses producing an economic crisis. The bosses also have the long term trend of the rate of profit to decline.
