Most excellent. Thank you, thank you, very much especially the last sentence. That’s where I’m at. I actually told God, while in a fiery test, that I didn’t know was a fiery test, continually disobeyed what He was telling me to do until I told Him I didn’t want Him and the Holy Spirit left me. I committed the unpardonable sin. My life has gone down. Where when the Holy Spirit came into my life, my life was being made Holy and consecrated. I was self deceived into choosing satan over Jesus. God chose me for my generation and I gave up my destiny. I didn’t have faith. Without faith it’s impossible to please God. It’s a very long story. I’m glad I came across this video. Thank you again.

I have come to this conclusion about the matter; If I am saved, then I am saved only because God, and God alone (Romans 8:29-30), through Christ alone, by faith alone, has made a promise, to himself, to save me from before the foundations of the earth according to Ephesians 1. If indeed this has happened, then there is no way that my salvation can be undone by anything in all creation according to Romans 8:38-39. God, is first and foremost, faithful to himself, which by necessity means, that he will keep promises that he has made with himself.

If you believe in Jesus Christ as your Savior, trusting Him alone for salvation, believing that His sacrifice is the full payment for your sins – Then, you are one of the elect.
As simple as that.

Didn't hear any mention of having peace. A different kind of peace than what the world knows. A peace that nothing can shake you or separate you from God.

THOMAS: "I can't give you that assurance. You know, I can't...Only the Holy Spirit can do that, can give you that assurance."
I truly want to know how the Holy Spirit overcomes the problem of someone fooling himself into believing he is saved.
Some will say "when you have the witness of the Spirit (Rom 8:16) you just 'know' it's the real deal--it CANNOT be counterfeited."
I would respond, how can you be so sure (see Jer 17:9)?

The evidence of salvation is an earnest, ongoing desire to do the will of God. The Bible will be the delight of the saved person, and he will turn more and more from his sins (Psalm 119).

In addition, a truly saved person will rest in Christ (Hebrews 4:10). He or she will stop trying to work their way into Heaven. He will recognize that God had to do 100% of the work. It's all undeserved. That's what grace is. This means that nothing, including personal faith, can save someone. God receives ALL of the credit. He is sovereign in salvation.

Ephesians 1:13-15
Amplified Bible, Classic Edition
13 In Him you also who have heard the Word of Truth, the glad tidings (Gospel) of your salvation, and have believed in and adhered to and relied on Him, were stamped with the seal of the long-promised Holy Spirit.

14 That [Spirit] is the guarantee of our inheritance [the firstfruits, the pledge and foretaste, the down payment on our heritage], in anticipation of its full redemption and our acquiring [complete] possession of it—to the praise of His glory.

Well in the BIBLE it says all you must do is believe. That’s IT! Live your life as a fulfilled Christian so as to honor His name.

However, the thief hanging on the cross, next to Jesus, had a chance only to believe, trust, Jesus. The jailer maybe knew no more, yet he believed. Paul, the apostle to the gentiles, was totally against Jesus and the very young church, yet he was knocked to the ground, blinded, and then shown the simple good news. Only believe His Word, please.

You can't, because assurance of salvation depends on your faithfulness to Christ until the very end of your life. Therefore, assurance here and now is impossible. Besides, great men like R.C. Sproul were not certain of their salvation. So how could anyone be sure? You have to be deceived if you think your current state gives you enough evidence of your salvation.

See if you can give money to poor people and feel joy.
See if reading the book of Revelation doesn't feel like a waste of time.
See if you can forgive, when you have the right to hold someone accountable.
These are signs that you are on the right path.
