How Can I Be Sure - Eddie Brigati & Susan Lovell Brigati

On Thursday, August 9th 2018, Eddie Brigati and wife Susan Lovell-Brigati were honored by the RockIt Live Foundation (Bruce Gallipani - founder). The event was held at the Two River Theater in Red Bank, New Jersey. Steven and Maureen Van Zandt (members of Rockit’s Artist Advisory Board) co-sponsored the event.

After the award presentation by Gallipani, the Brigati's performed Eddie's 1967 chart hit, "How Can I Be Sure."

My wife Nan and I have known Eddie and Susan since 1984. She had (has?) her own group, "The Main Event.'
She can sing!! I officiated their wedding knee-deep in the Atlantic in St. Augustine, FL. Eddie and I, a best man, another male friend were standing there as Susan with her entourage, including her mother with a walker approached the shore line. Eddie says to me, "We shoulda had some music ." Looking at him, with a "are you kidding me look, I said something like "well, you da man!." He sort of shrugged and began singing "How Can I Be Sure." It was a magical moment and an unforgettable wedding."

I loved it. I am a child of the 60's I liked the song and the Rascals. What I only learned recently is that Eddie Brigati wrote and sang this song. So talented. This was a very tender and touching moment with his wife. Thanks for sharing this moment...

Wow, I'm becoming an emotional fellow in my old age. Needed a hanky for this one. Eddie's wife was not what I expected, she has a powerful voice! And a really good sound. She looks so strong. Hopefully she will lose that walker. Very impressed by these 2 beautiful people. I grew up about 20 minutes from Eddie's stomping grounds. God bless the two of you.
