When I was in the US Army, I would hear my sergeants say that there is no such thing as a stupid question. However, in my personal experience some questions came with a lot of pushups.

I have taught grades K-12. And I told my students that there was a stupid question! It’s the question you ask and already know the answer to but you just want to hear yourself talk! 😀

I’ve been a customer service agent for over 20 years and I can tell you that there definitely are stupid questions!!

Tbf the point still stands: asking that wasn't stupid since it got that information from an authority and therefore felt it was safe to assume that the answer they were presented with was a correct one... Something my little self with 2 older brothers who are... Not nice people 😅 understands all too well

Stupid questions leads to anxiety, I explained that to my 9 years old, and he has no anxiety any more.


Imagine walking in the park scared a plan might fall on you . That is anxiety, and the cause is stupid question .

My older brother told me at the age of 7 that dinosaurs weren't extinct, they just say that so little kids don't get frightened, my brother thought this was harlarious watching me look behind the shed for dinosaurs, i never did get him back for that one,

If there is something you truly don't understand about the subject being taught/discussed, then true there is no such a thing as a stupid question. I doubt that was the case in your example unless your teacher was teaching comic books and sex education. 😂 But, that leads me to a question of my own for you. What kind of comic books were you reading?! 😮 I would think this occurrence came up in a parent/teacher conference later. 🤣
