Botched repair? That kiosk "technician" absolutely massacred this phone! Nice work bringing it back to a usable and reliable state. I love these restorations.

This phone example is the reason why I prefer fixing my phone by myself! I don't trust anyone else to do it. Even the manufacturer.

I've recently been the "second technician" on an IPhone 11 pro max. The person who replaced the screen and battery lost the motherboard bracket, which caused the main camera ribbon to disconnect. Furtermore - they installed a cheap IPS panel instead of an oled (with no gasket). Thankfully the only 3 things I needed to buy were the display, a new gasket and a new mb bracket.

Even though I've never done more than replace a battery on my iPhone 6 (that was before they glued the screens) I still love watching these repair videos!

He's so meticulous and careful in his methods that it's really satisfying to watch a master at work!

Your right to repair videos are great, but I've been missing your restoration videos. This scratched that itch! I hope we see more restoration videos. It would be fun if you repaired/restored some more devices with custom frames like you have in the past with the red iPhone.

I really hate when people take their phones to get it repaired at the mall, they always eff up the repair and cause other issues. They never have the proper tools and end up breaking stuff.

Oh man. I wish we had someone like you around here in South America. Our iPhone 11 was also damaged by a previous “repair shop”. The actual official Apple Store in Rio de Janeiro! They made both of our camera lenses dirty when we paid for an official battery replacement for 150 usd, and because they said the phone was unofficially opened before by another repair store, they won’t cover the damage, they themselves caused 😢

you should have done a housing swap instead of glass only. Glass only repairs doesn't retain the phones water or dust resistance, they aren't durable and they look horrible, especially around the edges of the phone and cameras.
