Sowmya Ramaswamy Krishnan is working as a researcher at Tata Consultancy Services Limited—Life Sciences research division, India. She is also pursuing her PhD in computational biology under Prof. M. Michael Gromiha at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras, India. Her main research interests include structural biology, cheminformatics, de novo drug design and application of machine learning techniques in these domains. Her PhD thesis is focused on how targeting RNAs with small molecules can be explored to treat undruggable diseases. She is working on development of computational tools and databases to accelerate RNA-targeted therapy.
