I always love playing as a merchant in open world survival games like this. In ARK I was an auctioneer selling tames, and resources. Was eventually contracted by several tribes to supply them with berries, veggies, stone and metal. In return i got gigas, advanced tech i couldn't get on my own, etc. They mentioned that you can sell building designs in this game. I think ill get really knowledgeable about the building system and sell structure blueprints. Maybe also get involved in the spice trade as a transporter

I'm hoping that the political aspect is well thought out. A system of making sure no one stays on top "alphas" forever would be nice. I imagine that a system of needing to farm spice to stay on top is the system. That way you need people to support you and if people sabotage your efforts you fall from the Emperor's favor. So raids on spice production that you had to build up can seriously hamper you. If no player guilds control the spice then an AI faction should, that way there is always a target for everyone to attack.
