Check and clean the carb, check compression, it might give you info on if any cylinder is faulty. And that high sound, check the belt on the top

You ain’t firing on all cylinders. Assuming it’s a 3 cylinder you are more than likely running on 2. I would start by checking the spark plugs. If nothings wrong with the spark then check compression on each cylinder. You may simply have a bad gasket. If nothing checks out move on to the carbs and see if maybe one cylinder isn’t getting fuel.
