Meet the all-new Protect Sensor Family, powered by our revolutionary new wireless protocol we call SuperLink.

Purpose-built to perform seamlessly in both smart home settings and demanding industrial environments, SuperLink delivers unmatched versatility. With ultra-low latency, exceptional battery efficiency, great scalability, and an incredible multi-kilometer range, it sets a new standard for secure and reliable IoT connectivity.

While SuperLink endpoint devices are set to launch later this year, we are excited to announce the SuperLink Gateway is available today — featuring additional integrated long-range Bluetooth Low-Energy capabilities to fully support first generation Protect BLE multi-sensor deployments.

Zigbee, Zwave, matter, thread... we need a new standard ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

I wonder how hard the Ubiquiti engineers rolled their eyes when the executives ordered them to add a new standard to the already convoluted market.

another protocol... seriously? why not push matter?

Did you guys know that SuperLink allows for multi-year battery life and multi-kilometer range with SuperLink Sensors coming soon?

Wake up babe, new standard for the standard for the standard for the standard for the standard dropped

I love Ubiquiti, but they have to stop coming out with all this proprietary crap. open it up, and it will sell even more. just another protocol that will not play well with others.

I doubt it will come to light, but what about Matter / Thread / Zigbee / zWave supported device integration(s)? Would be amazing to see any / all of that added in with the current suite planned for SuperLink stuff.

Guaranteed I won't use it as it is a separate protocol. Would have been excited if it was zigbee/zwave/thread based, I am not buying locked in garbage anymore.

Edit: Before unifi comments on battery and range.. LoRaWAN and Zigbee LR ALSO already exist and provide more than a KM/Mile of range. Battery and range are not differentiators.

I don't want superlink I want you to support current standards and real official Home Assistant integration for all stuff.

Exactly what IoT needed, ANOTHER standard, and a proprietary one at that. Couldn't adopt LoRa, Zigbee, Matter, or any of the others?

Please PLEASE tell me this is NOT proprietary and my expensive Home Assistant setup that is nearly complete with zigbee/zwave and such is NOT wasted if I wanted to use some of this? At the very least there needs to be a way to interface these devices and/or SuperLink protocol in to Home Assistant.

Can you guys actually respond to the concerns people have? They are very legitimate. Please support open standards too in ADDITION to this, and you're not going to drive away customers.

I'm with a lot of the others here, I want Matter/Thread support if you make a residential focused version of this but I guess there's always home assistant

The industry releases a brand new standard every week without even blushing

Just what we don't need. Another protocol. Especially one that is proprietary and managed by a company with a ridiculously horrible track record for long-term support for anything but networking gear. Thanks, but no thanks! Zigbee & WiFi for the win...Thread and Matter are still a complete mess. Seems like Ubiquiti has no interest in the prosumer/enthusiast anymore that helped get them where they are today. It's enterprise or bust now?

I don't mind integration into your ecosystem, but if this new hardware isn't open to talk with things like Home Assistant, I'm not interested. Open protocols from now on or I'm out. Everyone is tired of pretending that company decisions in the future won't affect them.

For real, I see a lot of comments about matter and stuff like that, this would have been top of the line with that information.

It is disappointing they didn't talk about supporting it. We don't want another proprietary protocol out there.

So… you have LoraWan now? Is it better the chirpstack or TTN? Can I integrate my current network and sensors to this?

yeah sure! a new protocoll.... so no thread, matter, zigbee?

now we just need poe++ super floodlights in two versions: a regular standard version, and another one with red simulated police lights to act as a theft deterrent to compliment this awesome lineup
