Good review. I'm glad you mentioned the < $30 earbuds. To me, these earbuds should be priced about $20. Between the lack of a battery in the case, the lack of noise cancelling, no water rating, and not even a USB cable in the box, charging $80 for these earbuds is highway robbery.

18 hours battery ilife is all I need. I have numerous problems with other buds with the “same price” with the “features” this bud does not have but have encountered many many issues. I’ve never had these problems with these buds.

my 2 issues with these
1) they aren't very loud I could listen at max easily
2) you have to stop listening to charge them, and find a charger also. That's kind of annoying
3) the button controls are trash pushing into your eardrum to switch song. They sound pretty good to me though and they will prob last a long time because it's an apple product so I'm not really sure if I'll keep them or not Mixed feelings

I have a pair of Airpods Pro... I bought the Beats Solo as a knock-around, toss in the car pair. Worse earbuds I ever used. Returned them on the same day.

There are true wireless buds out there with smaller cases that have batteries and are cheaper than these beats and they sound way better...

This feels like that widely used pricing strategy where the company makes the claim that the pricing "starts at $$$" but the product that is at that price point is utter trash so people will go for the more expensive versions
