The NS drift technique feels really good, but it's very unbalanced. It offers almost no advantage to high-handling cars that have good drift speeds already, and can make cars with low drift speed and tight drift radii extremely overpowered (Lykan, Icona, Trion, Jesko, Chiron, etc). It also removes the incentive to use perfect nitro on a lot of turns because the drift is easier to execute. Honestly hoping they fix it.

And then out of the blue, he realizes that he can barely keep up 😂.

Yes it's called the drift punch trick

This trick is actually very easy, and on switch, you can take that corner at 220+ mph (354+kmh) in the Jesko. That speed is very hard to do, but this trick can easily get you to drift above 186mph/300kmh for the whole turn on any platform.
