Forming (AND SOLVING) equations - The most important trick in GCSE Maths?

Use algebra skills that you already have to solve difficult algebra questions in your GCSE Maths exam! Perfect for a bit of Maths revision!

This video is all about showing how to use the skills that you may already have to solve GCSE exam questions that at first glance look much harder than they are. So it should be useful if you're coming across this for the first time or if you are looking at this for a bit of revision.

All we're doing is taking skills that you already have and using them in a different situation.

An equation is simply a statement where you are saying two things are equal, for example 2+3=5 is an equation; we are saying that those two things are equal to each. But we usually think of an equation as involving letters (algebraic terms). This video is all about how you can form your own equation to solve difficult problems. In particular those kind of questions involving shapes where it's not always immediately obvious what to do.

I hope you find the video useful!
