When I think of the rare (and interesting) books business, I think of the impact 'The Ninth Gate' had on (a younger) me. I can see the power those rare books have on you. You have to pull yourself out of their world, just to finish a sentence. They offer a magical world.

Adam is great!!!! I stumbled into an antiquarian bookshop in Riva Del Garda, Italy about 8 months ago. It was like stepping into the magical world of Harry Potter. I so badly wanted to enter the world of antique book collection but was super intimidated. Luckily the shop owner in Italy talked with me for over an hour about his collection and then I discovered these videos. Thank you Mr. Weinberger for your willingness to share this fun hobby with others. You are another awesome person sharing what you know for the benefit of us all. It is greatly appreciated.

This is literally one of the most inspiring things I've seen on YouTube in ages. What generosity, Adam Weinberger! You are remarkable. I'm about to make "the dive" into dealing and thank you for this.

I’m so glad that you have a YouTube channel!! I have a small collection, constantly looking for new additions. My prized possession is a beautiful copy of Dickens’s “All The Year Round”, and recently acquired a 1714 copy of “The State of Political Affairs in Great Britain”. Looking forward to watching your videos and gaining some knowledge!

This was a fascinating video Adam, I’d love more videos about the business and behind the scenes part of being a book seller.

Hi Adam, enjoyed this video as a collector/Bibiolfile. just purchased and viewed 'The Booksellers' DVD and was pleasantly surprised to see your input in this documentary. Cheers from Australia... have been a subscriber most of this year.

I just discovered your YouTube videos tonight and wanted to let you know that they are very helpful to guys like me who love antiquarian books and dabble with buy/sell, to fund my collecting. Because of variations, especially in bindings, it can get very tricky knowing what you actually have. Lol. - so thanks again

Adam, these videos are so helpful and sympatico. Did you ever make one about how you got involved in bookselling? I am very curious to learn about your back story.

Thank you. This has been great information. I was beginning to put together a used cookbook site after being given a discarded collection. After researching I've started to see how much inventory I would need to move on a regular basis to be profitable and as it's just me that seems daunting. And while this does too, it seems daunting but I have enough hours in the day to physical make it happen.

Happy New Year, Adam,
My Christmas present to me was discovering your channel. I find you to be honest, knowledgeable and a bit of a dry humorist..very refreshing!
I'm sitting on a large eclectic collection of books that I've been too busy (afraid?) to have valued..until now. I hope to be in touch with you soon.
Thank you, once again, for your time and knowledge you put into your channel!

Most informative and I'd like to take on the challenge. The one thing that makes me hesitate is the fear of incorrectly describing the condition of each book.

Question with the first book, would contacting top steel manufacturing company CEOs or executives in that particular industry be a viable idea or no?

Hey Adam, I just saw you on The Booksellers documentary. The outlook for the profession looked dismal but I still would love to do it full time.

What would be one thing you see in a book that immediately deters you from buying? (Alterations/repair, graffiti, etc)
