Thank you XP for the easy to follow, dummy proof, step by step guide. It took me only 5 minutes to succesfully update my remote and my headphones.

Thank you Gary for all you explain! And Thank XP for finally making it Mac iOS compatible. I’ll wait a while to update to 1.0 to take in the feedback from version 1.0 users. I hope they addressed the severe down averaging of a good target - higher conductor VDI when near iron. Of course with the new release the XP site must be overloaded as well, being a retired I.T. tech I expect that. I’m brand new, less than a week into to the D2 (And XP) working carefully over my test plot to get acclimated. Having experience with most flagship detectors since 1986 I appreciate the adjustability the Deus 2 offers. The Deus 2 ergonomics for me at 66 yrs old are unbeatable.

When can we expect the server to work propperly? At the moment it's almost impossible to create an account, and i had no luck loggin in or resetting password. I tried validating my account, but i suspect it haven't been verified because of server problems.

Not work!!! Your website cant see my WS6, cant connect. I was try few webbrowsers and nothing :(

The update site kept going down (the page where you sign into your account). The instruction page stayed up fine, just the actual update page kept timing out. I finally got the Remote to update, then the WS6 was very finicky. I had the proper cables, and they were seated properly on a fairly new W11 machine. The WS6 update failed several times, and the screen on the WS6 would not turn off while it said "UPDATING", using the power off sequence did nothing. I was thinking I was going to have to let the battery run out. It finally did connect and update to V1.0 thankfully. I used Edge Chromium under Windows 11 with all updates applied! You have to make sure in Edge Chromium settings under "Cookies and Site Permissions" that "USB Devices" is NOT BLOCKED. I had it blocked as a security measure, but had turned it off before the update process. I also made sure to disable my Ad blocker extension (Ublock Origin). It might help to have a U.S. based server, or use AWS to mitigate these timeout/crashing issues. It may become a non-issue in a week or two after everyone finally gets updated, but could return when trying to apply the V1.01 firmware update! Thanks for all the hard work getting the update to us!

It's worth noting that the USB cable that is part of the 3-way cable you get with the unit will not work to recognize the WS6. I believe this is a charging cable only. You must use the single USB cable.

Hello Gary, I had a little difficulty in updating my WS6, but did get it updated. After that, I had to pair my WS6 up to the remote. Is this normal? Once I did that everything works great. The only other thing I noticed was when I turned my remote on, my WS6 automatically came on without me choosing that option on my remote. I tried for the first time using my external speaker on my remote but the WS6 was still giving me audio. Is this normal?

I have a mac. it will not recognize the remote when i plug in the cables. I go through the steps as shown but when I get to the white box, it says No compatible device found. any ideas?

Following the instructions, if we plug in the controller, we naturally plug the other end into the computer. Totally normal thing to do. Follow all the prompts and near the end of the instructions it NOW says to plug the USB into the computer and we also start getting the error about USB issues. Unplugging and re-plugging the USB doesn't fix it. You have to shut off the controller, start the sequence again with the wire attached to the controller, but NOT the computer until it actually tells you to. Then it goes as it should. It says absolutely nothing in the instructions about not plugging the USB into the computer in the beginning. That's how it worked when I did the update in Chrome on a PC. Hope this helps someone stuck in that loop.

Done all that, not easy. Updated the headphones, but now they won't pair. It keeps telling me to update them again. Tried again. Tried re-pairing, nothing. Now I can't go detecting.

As the headphones no longer work (despite updating and re-pairing etc), can I go back to the original program? And what was it's name please? I was daft enough to not write things down and assume all this stuff would work!

The XP website will not allow me to reset my password or create a new account it’s been more than 30 hours since the release of v1 I have received 6+ emails from XP and they still can’t get website to work.

Dont forget to write your personal saved programs down on paper before you up date i didn't do it on .71 it wipes old settings lucky i could remember my settings
