It amazes me how many women think being with someone, anyone is better than being single with your dignity intact. My mother's tough lesson is that she over depended on my father. She drilled into her girls to do for themselves so they'd never depend on anyone but themselves for living essentials. Then, you're free to be with someone because you want to be, not because you need to be.
