I have started making a tutorial series for anyone who wants to learn how to use the Buchla 208c Easel Command. I've tried to break things down into small videos that are easy to mentally digest and apply to your own electronic music. We will be exploring both tonal and west coast avant-garde uses of the Easel.
This eighteenth video demonstrates how to setup up a basic Easel Roulette and some of the possible variations. Please leave a comment with any questions or requests and a like if this was helpful.

Hey Ethan! Thanks for this series -- just finished it as I finally got an Easel. Much appreciated! Great way to get me started on the right foot. Hope all's well.

Right when I was starting to think I ran out of ideas on what to do with my easel, this video popped up. I used this video as a starting point and just got lost for like 2 hours. Using the envelope generator to control the pulser opens up a whole lot of new avenues for generative patches. It's an incredible engineering feat how the easel densely packs so many possibilities into one standalone unit.
