I say this as a long time Pokemon franchise fan. These games, SOUND the best out of any games in the entire franchise. The NAILED the orchestral performances for the soundtrack. They sound stellar in every regard.

This composition is just deep. It allowed players and viewers of the anime and readers of the manga to feel a heroic buildup within their hearts as they grip the imaginary mental Pokeball ready for a glorious challenge ahead. In future generations after Gen 1, it doesn't quite reach that deep and they're all surface level. It's quite sad tbh.

Just now beat this game for the first time. By beat the game I mean I 100% it besides collecting the entire pokedex. Caught all the legendary pkmn, lapped the gym leaders and elite 4 twice, and beat Blue, Green, and even Red twice over. Gotta say it's really amazing in head cannon imagining the lore is based on what I did as a kid in the original pkmn games
