ScienceCasts: Rock Comet Meteor Shower

The Geminid meteor shower peaks on Dec. 13th and 14th when Earth runs through a stream of debris from a strange object that some astronomers are calling a "rock comet."

i not only saw the Geminids, , , , i HEARD them at 9000 feet in colorado in the late 70's...
they rip through the atmosphere like the sound of lightning

I saw thm while i was in dallas texas they were going horizontaly and there was about 10 of themthat i saw before i went into a store on the 14th

Yeah, you can see in any part of the sky, but the tail of the meteors always point to the constellation Gemini!!!!
