Push hands practise is an exercise we use in our Shuang Yang White Crane system to help the practitioners train their ability to listen to a partner's body, movement and intention through contact. This is done through understanding oneself as the only access we have to our partner and to all things in our world is how these external phenomena arise and appear in our consciousness.

The aim is never to resist oncoming force and never insist on your own force. The drill helps rewire the brain and the body to be in a continuous state of change, adapting to the partner's forces and the partner's intention which arises just before the force is applied.
