my moms been in the icu 12 days due to low sodium, i found her in a coma and shes doing ok but still really concerned they are amazed she survived and her brain looks good they are trying to minimize permanent damage taking it slow. the nurses and doctors are amazing. i was very concerned we are not boosted yet and they assured me that the covid patients are dealt with on another floor and the nurse said theres ZERO people in the hospital who had 2-3 shots but there is one who got j&j but hes gonna be ok hes just very old very obese and a smoker he only had 1 jj shot and so that helped me calm down about not being boosted yet but going to asap, earliest available was 4 weeks out so wont be able to until jan 4 but yea its sad people wont get vaxxed. my grandpa died along with 2 friends within days last june after they went on a fishing trip together, only the 1 friend survived, didnt get covid cause he was vaxxed and wore a mask which my grandpa made fun of him for.. they fought in ww2 together ffs and he was like... we saw war together... we became firemen and emt's... and this is how it ends... then my grandpas sister and a few others attended the funeral died 3 weeks later after going home to n.k after driving here to west coast for the funeral OF COVID... so dumb..
