This is literally what every relationship should strive for. ❤

I actually noticed this a while ago and started using the tiniest amount of detergent each load since then

Everyone deserves a partner where they feel comfortable telling them facts and stories with absolutely no knowledge of the subject matter because they know they´ll wait for them to look it up because they give them the benefit of the doubt that they are still a sane person based on 0 evidence. That is relationship goals.

Probably just like toothpaste too. The more you use, the quicker you'll need to buy more. You really only need a tiny bit for each of these.

But what if you wait until clothes are already crunchy before doing laundry...

I use less than recommended detergent and add baking soda. And every few washes I wash my towels on hot with only baking soda. Keeps them soft.

The phrase “big laundry” makes me chuckle every time I think about it. You guys never cease to crack me up while continually giving insightful information 🤣

Same with toothpaste!! In the ads they make it look like you need to put it all along the brush, it's ridiculous!

I used to know a Laundromat owner. He only used rubbing alcohol to wipe down the machines. There was plenty of soap on the machines, and the alcohol has enough water to as activate it. The alcohol just dries out faster, leaving the machines clean on the outside. As far as inside the machines, 1/4 cup of detergent should be more than enough for any load

No, Avril did not say "see you later boy." The bridge and last verse reveal that she is singing the song from the perspective of the woman who eventually ended up with the Sk8r Boi. The song has layers, man.

The size of the scoops are 5x what you need.

Yep! I knew this! But I just knew on intuition. And especially based on the fact that I get bad skin reactions from all detergents. Even ones designed for sensitive skin. So I use about half the recommended amount, and always do a second rinse cycle. You also don't need an much shampoo as they show on the commercials. You only need like a quarter-sized amount.

I worked in a laundromat and the amount of detergent people use is INSANE. If they used powdered detergent it could clog up because no amount of water would dissolve that pile. This happened daily.

Avril did not say “see you later boy” because she is skater boy’s girlfriend in the song. The girl who said “later boy” is the boy’s ex crush from before he met Avril.

I'm with Chyna.
I use half the amount of detergent in my new washer because of the residue.
Half a capful is more than enough.

I dont think this is always the case. I work outside a lot and come home soaked in sweat and dust. I’ve tried using less detergent and some of my clothes began to stink permanently. I had to get rid of them. This may be the case for some people but if I go with what works

My washer has a fill-up that holds tons of detergent. And it auto dispenses. HazzZah

Get laundry sheets. Detergent in dry strips. No measuring, toss in with clothes, and bonus, saves a ton of transport based pollution bc they're lighter. Most of liquid detergent is water. I've been using the brand Tru Earth for like two years and it's great, they don't even pay me to say that.

Yeah, water does most of the lifting for cleaning. Including wounds I learned from NDT Star Talk and a surgeon that did a survival reality TV show.
