WB's mascot was a frog. It's ironic because they are in the midst of a massive croak.

Imagine having that much IP and still failing massively

How can Warner Bros ever hope to recover from all their loses over the years, when all they ever do is make bad decisions, continuity?

So to sum up, these two companies merged, purged a bunch of stuff people like, ruined stuff they did have, then unmerged a year later, taking down everything with them and rendering the whole thing not only pointless, but worse off then if they had done nothing in the first place.

Remember when even adults liked Cartoon Network with Dexter's Lab and other shows? It was a long time ago. CNN probably never makes a profit.

WB owns DC, WB games and Rocksteady... How do you lose so much money owning legendary comic book IPS? All they have to do is make quality movies, series, video games based off DC characters and they'd be swimming in money...

"Oh no! How could this have happened? It's the consequences of my own actions!" - Warner Bros, probably.

First comment and WB has so much IP but the leadership is horrible. NBA ratings are so low that this should be a win.

So my understanding is that Zazlav cut everything except the things he really should have.

Warner Bros. Games: We've had a massive hit with a single player game and a massive flop with a live service game!
Also Warner Bros Games: We're doubling down on Live Service games!!!
Yes please sell off the Games division. They've been given a golden goose in Hogwarts Legacy, a game that could launch an entire gaming franchise as big as Assassins Creed, Final Fantasy or Zelda, yet they've already decided to kill the golden goose to chase Live Service games like it's horrendous flop Suicide Squad KTJL. This is also despite every single metric saying Live Service games are far more difficult to attract an audience than Studios thought.
Oh this wasn't the games divisions decision, it was David Zazlav choice (he might know movies but he's a total idiot when it comes to video games).

You know wonder if both Warner Bros. Discovery and Paramount Global are not long for this world. That could be devastating to the California economy because so many jobs are tied up with these two companies in southern California.

Can anyone feel sorry for them? People want to see good stories, not be lectured by people using cartoons as therapy.

They have the entirety of Cartoon Network and the Looney Tunes. Bugs Bunny for crying out loud.

They have the entire DC Empire, top to bottom from comics, games, shows, toys and films.

They have Scooby Doo, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Mortal Kombat.

They have the entire HBO empire and catalog.

They had talented filmmakers like Christopher Nolan in their staple of filmmakers.

The fact that they couldn't properly leverage ALL of this into short and long-term success is utterly ridiculous.

Nolan went to Universal. DC feels like it's in the gutter. LOTR and Game of Thrones are utterly diminished as brands. Harry Potter has a woke fanbase that hates it's creator for recognizing the difference between men and women.

I think it is safe to say thar WB is fallen. I think it will be broken up and the various IP and pieces will be sold off to the highest bidder.

This is what you get when you put these Boomers with no experience (Disney’s Iger’s only experience was as a friggin’ Production Assistant- one of the lowliest, no-experience-needed positions on a show) to lead a company. You used to work WITHIN the company and knew how it worked before you were made into a corporate head… now you don’t need to know anything, apparently….

Looking at how woke WB has went (watch the latest Batman, oh gawd it stinks worse than fish left in a locker room with blue cheese tossed in it.) they are failing because they refuse to make content for their consumers. We quit watching WB.

AT&T did more damage to WB in the long term run and now Comcast will buy WB. Let’s remember that WB kept treating creators poorly and double down on the fail DEI and same creators. Plus the fail Kill the Justice League game and Gotham Knights was horrible.
