This is by far the best solo I've ever enjoyed. Most drummers just beat the hell outta the drums, mostly as fast as they can while keeping a beat. This guy literally takes you on a journey. I will definitely be listening to this many many many times again!!

That's my dude Sput, a kool bro that I've been knowing almost 40 years, and he is an ARTIST. He can play various instruments, but his first love is skinz. He's played on countless artist from r&b to gospel, to rap, to jazz; you really can't miss him, even in the classical genre. But, most of all he's as humble as they come, even with a Grammy, and other awards. He has spent years perfecting his musical craft, with his musical family, relatives, and other well known artist; Snoop Dogg, Lalah Hathaway, Snarky Puppy, Mz E Badu, Kirk Wahlum, Ciara, Fred Hammond, The Clark Sisters, Pharrell, Kirk Franklin, just to name a few. His cuzzin and mine, play for Badu, and travel across the globe doing what they love, 🎼. He layed the track for this session, a local legend with a good spirit 😉

I've been digging a lot of excellent drumming videos on Y.T. lately. but this one has it all;  Superb musicality, over the top drumming skill, groove for days,  enough funk to make the dead bob their head and just totally entertaining even if you're not a drummer. I am so very impressed with this man Robert Sput Searight. This is one video i'll be watching over and over.

If I had not seen this with my own eyes, I probably wouldn't have believed it just by only listening to it. It just don't seem to be humanly possible to perfectly execute with that kind of precision for so long error free. But I did witness this with own eyes, and the only word that seems to come to mind is FLAWLESS. Thank you.

I smiled with delight and joy the entire performance. This is a musician who just happens to play the drums. Out of the thousands of drum video’s I’ve watched, not to mention being a drummer for 35 years….this was the BEST display of musicianship I’ve seen. If you’re a drummer you can understand what I’m saying. He makes it sound easy while playing tight inside, outside, and around the pocket. Absolutely AMAZING!!!
