I just received my result this morning (Jan 13th, 2025) with a band 8 overall.

I had exactly 1 week to prepare for the test and used majority of your videos on here.

There is no quick fix in improving your English and I’m using English in my daily work. This is to show that Chris’s videos with outlines and strategies did help me tremendously in such a short amount of time. Truly appreciate it!

*A little cheat code for those who will do the exam on the computer: before your writing test, they will play an instruction video. Once the video finishes, don’t click confirm and continue yet, use this time to write your outlines, checklists or simply to breathe and compose yourself. It will not be counted in the 60 minutes of your writing test. I had extra 2 minutes before starting. The writing test is quite heart racing for me and every minute counts! to check your grammar and spelling.

An amazing and very detailed video. I love how you spent more than an hour explaining everything rather than giving information quickly within 10-15 minutes like a lot of people on YouTube do.

But I'd like to disagree with your statement that if you can afford the exam you can afford professional help. There are people who have to save up money for months or years to be able to take the exam and go abroad and they're preparing while doing it, so not to lose time.
Having an expert by your side is definitely can increase your chances and make the preparation easier but it's true that not everyone can afford it. I think this thought could be worded a bit different. Otherwise some people can take it in a wrong way and think they're gonna fail unless they hire someone and if they're unable to do it, it'll only discourage them.
But besides that, great video as always!

Overall, the palladium average price increased throughout the given period. Initially, Platinum's mean price was marginally higher than Gold's, but Gold surpassed Platinum after approximately two years.
The average price of Palladium in 2013 was approximately $750. The average price of Palladium remained relatively stable from 2013 to 2016 before experiencing its largest increase between 2016 and 2021, soaring dramatically to its peak of just $2500.
In 2013, both Gold and Platinum mean prices were just under $1500. The mean prices of both Gold and Platinum decreased slightly to just above $1000 in 2015. The average cost for Gold remained between $1000 and $1500 for about four years, on the other hand, Platinum’s mean prices declined under $1000 and remained until 2020. In 2019 Gold's average price experienced a steady annual rise in 2019, reaching approximately $1750, and remained at this level until 2021. In 2020, Platinum with just a steady rose again back to over $1000 in the year 2021.

First of all, thank you so much for making this sound easy and doable. The charts and bar diagrams were always scary but you have made it so understandable. I am sure this will help me in my IELTS preparation. I have done my exercise for the last example test you described. Please grade it. Thank you!

Overall, the palladium starting with the lowest price gained a significant increase over the years above the other two. The platinum on the other hand having the highest price at the beginning dropped immensely comparatively to all the other categories while gold remained to have a steady value initially with a period of some variation in trend ultimately rising up.

The palladium commenced with a cost of about 550 dollars per oz., in 2013, with a slight downward flow until 2016 from where it peaked continuously up to approximately 2400 dollars per oz., in 2021.

Meanwhile platinum pricing about 1500 dollars per oz., started dropping significantly until 2015 from where it plateaued until a very slight raise of around 1100 dollars per oz., in 2021. Gold however, at the price of about 1400 dollars per oz., in 2013 kept dropping up to the year 2015 after which it showed an insignificant change by 2019 and shot up to approximately 1700 dollars per oz, in 2020 and remained steady thereafter.

I have achieved overall 6.5 at my first attempt with YouTube based preparation.
