In the beginning of the game, the player can find a keycard that has been broken in half. This is clever foreshadowing as to the state of their heart upon finishing the game.

Choosing raindrop prelude as a common motif in the game was a fantastic choice.

A reminder that Adler was never an antagonist in this story, rather he was an unfortunate soul that was aware of the cycle. Doomed to watch as everything around him fell to pieces as S-23 Sierpinski and his fellow replika's were warped and twisted by madness. And even when he attempts to break the cycle by killing Elster he inevitably fails doomed yet again to repeat yet another cycle as the world falls apart.

You can't help but feel bad for him

This game really is a brilliant testament to how great direction and music can invest you in a world and characters even with little information or interaction. Elster's journey will stick with me forever and I can't wait for Yuri and Barbara's next project.

I'm a big Indomitable Human Spirit lover, but this game really tested my convictions. I got the Promise ending and I'll be playing Signalis every Christmas from now on.

I fucking love this game, I recommend it to anyone I can. An interesting and heartwrenching story topped off with good gameplay and a great artstyle. I find signalis to be evidence of what gaming as an art form is capable of.
