I honestly didn't remember this episode that featured the late Ruby Dee as Viola "Mammy" Watkins. Rest in peace to her.

It's funny..here Mamie calls her 'Blanche Maria Hollingsworth' but in another episode Blanche says that her name is Blanche Elizabeth Devereux (married) and the girls laugh because her initial spell 'BED'. So is it Maria or Elizabeth? Or a gaffe?

“There is something I wanted to ask you for”

“The bible?”

“No, thanks. I don’t drink.”

In one of the episodes Blanche spells out her initials as "BED" which stood for Blanche Elizabeth Devereux.

In this particular episode, Mammy Watkins calls her "Blanche Marie".

So which is her correct middle name, Elizabeth or Marie?

She could travel all the way to Miami but couldn't buy the music box? Ha.
