With how many times you have added 50 feet to your shots I'd expect you to be out throwing Anthony Barela by now.

I took Scott Stokely 8 hour class in Waco. Fantastic! At 65 years old at the time my max distance was around 150'. Just turned 66 this week and can now reach 300'. Plus my putting sucked so bad he held me and another guy after the class ended and didn't stop helping us until we found the proper putt for us. My forehand is also around 300' as well now. You have to go back every now and then and watch the video he makes of you of doing the 4 part process in slow motion to get back on track. Best lesson by far! I have my own 18 hole disc golf course on the ranch. My Son and I laid it out to where it would be a medium difficulty type course and as we progress we change it up to make it more challenging.

Scott Stokely is an awesome human. Just the history of the sport that he knows let alone being part of that history is so cool.
Great video! I'm jealous that you got to do a one on one lesson with Scott.

I can’t believe I’m his doubles partner for Australian nationals. I’ll learn so much, he seems like such a great teacher and person.

I love how positive Scott is about all of it. He is a awesome teacher and from what he has shown us a great human.

That wrist thing you mentioned at about 10:10 is huge. Had a private lesson with Philo, and that's the biggest thing that helped my game. The rotation on my putts especially got a lot easier.

Gotta appreciate the Stokely work ethic - selling and educating in America. His book is a great read, had me fixated with his story and his connection to the history of disc golf. The Icebergian has been lighting up the channel lately, starting with the power grip bonfire !

This essentially just comes down to lack of fully coiling your upper body backwards. This did me wonders for effortless power. However, it's very easy to fall in the trap of walking backwards if you focus too hard on getting your upper body backwards too early. If your feet are backwards along with your upper body, there's no tension between the lower and upper body as they're both facing backwards, and it becomes slow, inefficient, and not powerful to have to forcefully rotate both lower and upper body back around at the same time. As long as the feet are perpendicular to your upper body when you coil the upper body backwards, then the power should come in the form of merely releasing tension between that coil.

I’ve loved Scott’s program, I’m in his first Online group…and now I have a forehand for the first time ever. Be willing to rebuild your swing from scratch, and pace yourself!

Awesome collab, I love the way Scott teaches and breaks everything down step by step. Definitely makes it a lot easier to understand what's going on in a disc golf throw at high speed when you break it down like that. I'm also looking forward for the 1 month update, it would be really cool if you included a montage of your field work throughout the month in the video.

I was in Scott's seminar after Ledgestone in Peoria, IL. I need to go back and refresh on his teachings I'll admit. He has helped me get better and shot my first under par round though thanks to his help

I went out today, threw standing up straight, getting my head looking back for a longer reachback, and got the disc through my upper chest. I have been going way to low, bending forward obviously, and I now threw 330-350ft with what felt like 60-70% power to not over do it. About as far as a good 100% would get me before.
This video was a gamechanger. Thank you Scott! Amazing.
(Oh, and yes I will definately have to relearn my discs now...)

Great video... I love how Scott admits upfront that he is only arrogant in disc golf alone and humbly nothing else because disc golf is all he knows and does. I truly respect that and identify with it personally. I've watched a ton of videos and he's a heck of a insightful coach. In all his free youtube content he really seems to know the challenge issues/areas going on in a students mind when being coached on new approach/technique and has adapted a very insightful style to keep a student from overthinking meltdown or analysis/paralysis. That is a sign of a great teacher in any area let alone disc golf. As soon as i get a break i'm going to be signing up for his program for sure.

I remember sling shot disc golf breaking down the pros and they always keep the head forwards. There’s so many ways to tweak a throw. Depends what works for you.

I took one of his clinics and this was taught and it definitely got me at least an extra 50-65ft.
