It's been a HOT summer here in Texas, as with most of the United States, and believe it or not your plumbing system can have problems if it's exposed to too much heat! In the winter of course we worry about frozen plumbing pipes and freeze breaks on your outside hose bibs or underneath the ground, but your plumbing system is just as likely to experience problems in the summer as in the winter. Today I'm going to give you a few tips and tricks to help you recognize if your plumbing system is being exposed to too much heat and how you can help prevent a major disaster from happening in the future.

Ever wanted to ask a plumber a question? We are answering the questions that we are asked every day related to plumbing and plumbing repairs! If you don't get your question answered here, leave a comment and we will get back to you. We may even have a video or we may make a video just for that question.

Hi eddie here... so we\'ve been having mixing issues with our hot and cold water supply systems in our 20th story building, it has been giving us sleepless nights and tons of different trials in finding why its happening but not seem to be giving us the result we want. Any tip will be definitely appreciated.

Always account for expansion and contraction. Have a question for you might ask again on a live stream, what kind of plumbing system would you like to do? There’s so many which makes the trade so much more fun to me. Jails, Government buildings, Aqua Parks, Aqua exhibits (for example Ripleys Aquarium in Toronto). So have any other interesting jobs that come to mind? Maybe one here gets interest. Anywho, I’m DecendingVoid on your Reddit channel, I’ll be posting some interesting things from my grandpas days in Local 46 (Toronto Plumbing, Steam pipe and Welding Union). Wish he could see one of his grandkids got into 46 aswell (ICI). Have a good one and I’ll catch you on the next video.

PEX should be much less affected by thermal expansion and contraction than copper, right!
