Behind its heavily-guarded facade lies the residence of Queen Elizabeth the second, who’s lived here ever since she took the throne way back in 1953.

Usually, only her majesty, her staff and relatives, and her thralls of armed guards are allowed in. Today, that all changes. Because we’ve been granted unprecedented access inside the palace’s walls. We’re ready to unveil the secrets of Buckingham Palace and truly see how the richest members of the Royal family spend their time, so we invite you to follow us inside.

Poor research done for this video which has lots of errors. The grand staircase was not put in place by Queen Victoria in 1898, but was a John Nash creation made for George IV in the 1820s. It replaced an equally grand staircase placed in the 1760s for Queen Charlotte by George III. The state drawing room would have been too small to accommadate William & Kate's wedding reception which took place primarily in the Picture Gallery with ajacent rooms used. You don't head upstairs to get from the Ballroom to the Music Room as they are on the same floor on the principal floor of the west block of the palace. The Green Drawing room is one of the State rooms, and the queen meetings with the prime minister take place in her audience room near her private apartments in a difference section of the palace. The 1844 room is downstairs on the ground floor. The White Drawing Room is not beside the Queen's private apartments, and the Post office, Staff cafeteria, doctors office, etc and rooms that staff use are on another floor in a different wing of the palace far awat from the Queen private rooms . The photo shown as the Center Room is incorrect, that is the Chinese Luncheon room located at the far right of the east front of the palace. Photo seen at 4:47 while describing the swimming pool area is taken from the Chnese Loucheon Room.
Clarence House does not store the majority of the queen collection, it is much too small and has a small percentage of the approx 1 million items in the royal collection that are spread over 13 palaces and royal homes. Enormous Windsor Castle probably houses the most.
