Just heard Albert died great actor in many great films, lost count of how many times watched Saturday night and Sunday morning, gave 100% dedication to his work, didn't crave the limelight, humble, never put a foot wrong in all his acting life. Aways had great respect for you Albert you will be missed very much RIP god bless you

I absolutely love him. He will be my favorite and only Ebenezer Scrooge. I was devastated when I heard about his passing. May the lord be with you now.

ALBERT FINNEY RIP

.

Ihad worked on two films in which he starred.

We chatted about my favourite Christmas film Scrooge (1970 film).

The next day Albert brought in an envelope and inside was a still from the film and signed to me and then now exwife Carol.

What a brilliant actor and very sweet man he was.

My deepest sympathies to his family and friends.

Did he say he was 25 at the time of this interview? Much more serious and intelligent than the shallow interviews of today. How many mid-20s people today could go this deep? It feels like we are suffering from extended adolescence today.

A GREAT ACTOR, WHO HAS REMAINED VERY GROUNDED ALL HIS LIFE. DISAPPOINTED THAT THE INCOMPARABLE ''TOM JONES'' WASN'T DISCUSSED MUCH, IF AT ALL. I'VE JUST BOUGHT THE NEW BFI RELEASE OF THE FILM, WITH BOTH DIRECTORS CUT AND THE THEATRE ISSUE, PLUS VERY GOOD EXTRAS. IN BLU RAY AND DVD, WHAT A FANTASTIC SUPPORT CAST TO.

I quite like and respect the fact that he wasn't extremely ambitious, he just wanted to enjoy & experience life. 'Time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time' after all 😎

The only Scrooge who is fit to watch at Christmas. Big Fish was also amazing.

The also great Robert Robertson, an intellectual and very clever and literate man, master host of quiz shows but in his interviewing element here. Great also to see a young brilliant, deep thinking Albert Finney, you can hardly hear a northern accent at all in the first interview, perhaps he was acting!
