Love ya babe!! The whole time you were doing the stickers all I could hear was Bob Ross... "Let's take this happy little plant and put it here." You're the best my friend. 😃🖖👽

Love this video. I too have glassy world and its untouched. I also have mystery island on pdf untouched. I love your descriptions. They really make the books come alive. I'm such a visual thinker I often don't articulate and you do that really well. Thank you for your service to the coloring community,

It's refreshing to hear someone mention the use of AI by these beloved companies (and not just in an obscure book by an unknown publisher).
There's often something that bugs me in their books that has prevented me from ever buying one and I'm reassured to see that it's not just an impression.

I like your reminders about the fact that you can't ruin a book, that you can love a book just to flip through it (but that we shouldn't get attached to a book that doesn't even bring that pleasure). 💙

Other than that, I'm slowly catching up on these video series (and I see that I'm nearing the end, sniff 😭) (but I can't wait to see the Mid-Year freak ou tag), they're very enjoyable to watch.

Great video. Akira is a Japanese Cyberpunk movie from 1988 and a Manga series, not sure if this was inspired by the movie/manga or not haven't seen/read it. I also thought that Spooky Boy came out so soon after Spooky Girl, that it would have been impossible to draw all those images and release the book after Spooky Girl came out and that it was just a coincidence that 2 similar books came out at the same time. Or that there was some other influence that inspired both but maybe I'm completely wrong.

I don't know what is up with Coco Wyo's paper. I bought one book, I can't recall the name but it was like islands with different themes.. that paper was GREY. I'd never seen anything like it in any other Amazon book I've purchased. I don't buy a lot of the very cheap books, so maybe it's a cost thing but supposedly there is only two types of paper to choose from and I purposefully avoid the "premium" paper because it's super slick (probably great for markers though). Their stuff is like the recycled handwriting paper I used in the 1980's...super soft pressed, super absorbent so markers bleed like you are coloring on a napkin, pencils won't grip, the ink was dark grey and smeared everywhere, and the paper curled and warped under dry pencil.. just horrific. I've never bought another of their books although some are really cute, and I actually avoid all of them from that price range out of fear of getting the same paper.

I may have to put the glass book on my forever list (wishlist).

I'm telling ya... The tip that I sent to your e-mail will change the way you feel about Amazon paper. Putting Holbein Meltz in an empty Copic is amazing. I still kind of wish Colouring Chemist hadn't had the same idea, and let the cat out of the bag, a few months later. But... Using the marker does make the Meltz go a long way. So, the price being back up to the original price point is a little less painful. Using a real paintbrush or a water brush was wasteful, by comparison. Do use a eye dropper or pipette to load the marker, to save your sanity. It's a little easier to go slowly then, so you don't over fill. Then pop your frankensteined tool in a cup, with the brush tip down, for a bit. I tend to color quite a bit of area of an image with my watercolor pencils, before I begin activating the pigment. Sometimes a color at a time, if I've planned out my color scheme. Sometimes, just a particular area at a time. Before I change colors, I just scribble the brush on a piece of scratch paper. I've had vey little color bleed over lines. When I have, it's mostly been down to my dexterity issues. I have a lot more control over where color ends up with my Meltz marker than I did when I was torturing myself with trying to use alcohol markers as a base for pencil work. I really don't enjoy coloring with markers. The sound irritates me, the smell often bothers me, and the bleeding through lines makes me angry. And, my dominant hand sometimes shakes, or jerks. I haven't noticed a discernable odor from the Meltz. I definitely recommend it, rather than trying to use Gamsol (OMS) in a Copic to activate water soluble pencils. I tried that quite a long time ago, but didn't really like it.

The other day, YouTube auto loaded some coloring channel where some gal was using water in a Copic to activate watercolor pencils. I don't remember the channel, in order to give credit. I know it wasn't someone I watch often. I've stopped watching most channels. Due to constant huge hauls, or constant hauls of high end products (like you, I have very limited space, and low income). Or, annoying character traits of repeating certain phrases every other nanosecond ("So, yeah, " and "bad boys, " or "Love, love, love, " all of which were phrases over used by someone I knew offline, a lifetime ago). You could try that. I have a book that got drowned, and just use a minimal amount of water in a water brush to activate. I haven't tried water in a Copic. Empty markers are a little pricey; I'm not sure I'd want to subject one to tap water.
